Mark Karas
I’m a self-taught artist that picked up drawing and painting as a hobby while serving in the U.S. military. I did draw and paint a bit while in high school but stopped. Some time later, after having to purchase a set of oil paints for my young daughter and her art class, I decided to give it a try again and was immediately hooked.
I like to work with oil, love drawing with charcoal, and I’ve dabbled with pastels. My subjects include landscapes and interesting interiors, but I find that people make the most challenging and fascinating subjects.
