I have been drawn *sorry* to art since I was a wee little tyke. Dad was a really good artist, but never pursued it as a career. So mom encouraged my artistic interests—and after a stint at Kent State, then at The University of Akron, I ended up with a degree in Graphic Design, and minors in Illustration and Drawing. I worked at a communications firm, an advertising company (for a short while), a boutique design firm, and at CIA as the art director in the marketing department. I am presently the owner and art director / designer at Karen Myers Design. My design work can be seen at karenmyersdesign.net.

Drawing and painting have always been there for me, sometimes in the background. And every once in a while, I feel the need to get back into what really makes me happy. It’s good for my soul.
